I gotta have my dogs around but to tell you the truth a bird is so much easier than a dog thats for sure. I have 2 poodles in the house because they dont shed :0) and they dont bother my allergies like regular dogs do either. Its hard to say if your bird will be jealous if you got another bird but most are jealous in some ways no matter what ya do but most birds adjust. I have one bird thats gets ticked off if I just go or talk to another bird before him. I have 11 birds here in the house, everybirdies wings are clipped to keep them from flying to other cages and starting trouble where they dont belong and my 2 amazons I have to have in seperate areas because the old (47) Double yellow head is so jealous of the Yellow Naped he gets mad if he even hears her other than that birds here are ok. My favorites are the Congos because they arent as demanding plus are so entertaining and funny to hear. They seem to understand people better I think and they arent screamers. They are costly but word of advice from me is......dont buy from a pet store check around and find a few breeders if possible if you ever decide to get anther bird. If you need help let me or others know and maybe we can help. I have 2 sites of breeders by states. Just make sure you are comfortable with the breeder if you do chose to buy a bird so you can always ask questions. You will get a better bird and not as costly from a breeder most 99% of the time. Check out a few other birds just to make sure if a grey is gonna work out in your house and is what ya want in another bird too. For now enjoy your cockatiel as it sounds like a sweet one to have :0) Birds can steal your heart so quick thats for sure.
