Honestly there's not much you can do short of keeping him
entertained and as much company as possible.
You are correct that going out and buying him another "wife"
won't work,he would very likely resent and attack the new
female.
I'd keep an eye on him,I have seen male tiels that grieved
themselves to death over a lost mate.
