    Actually no hookbill bird,be it budgie tiel or Amazon needs
    grit.They used to believe that,because of having found birds
    in the wild with gravel and rocks in their digestive
    systems.They used to believe that grit was used to grind up
    the food,which is not the case.What actually happens if you
    feed a hookbill grit,it can cause terrible blockages in their
    digestive system,crop,stomach,etc.
    This is kind of a scary article,but a good one about many
    household birdie dangers-
