Post: How do I get rid of MITES????

Posted by d on 5/18/08

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has a miracle to get
rid of mites??? My birds don't go outside but my friend
brought her bird up and he goes outside all summer long.
After she had him up here I noticed my fids feathers
getting all "ratty" and torn up. I can't see any mites on
them and there are no holes or bites in the shafts of the
feathers but it's happening to almost all the fids her bird
was around! I'd like to treat them all for mites just as a
precaution. What is the best way to treat them??? Will it
    hurt my fids???? ?

Thanks in advance for ANY help at all!!
