    If you will re-read her post she gave that information - one
    payment via a Cashiers Check & a 2nd payment via a Money Gram.
    Seems that there should have been some sort of information that
    was given to her at the time she purchased these forms of payment
    ( on her part of the receipt? ) as to how or if a payment can be
    stopped or traced & refunded when an apparent scam has been done.
    And if the US mail service was used to send the payments & the
    lady got ripped off that's considered to be mail fraud. And if she
    purchased the Cashiers check or money gram with a credit card some
    credit card companys will help in getting the $ back. But you have
    to read all of the small print on the back of your credit card
    statement to see what they will & will not do/cover & how to file
    a complaint.

    I had a problem several years ago ( ordered some carpet from a
    mill in GA & paid by CC ). When the carpet arrived the piece had
    been cut too short ( & we ended up having to splice the carpet to
    make it work ). We called the mill immediately when we realized
    that they had shorted us in the length we had specified & paid
    for. And they tried to put the blame on my carpet layer for miss
    measuring the room ( which was a load of C... ). I was there when
    he called the mill & gave them the order & I know he gave them the
    right measurements cause I'd just helped him re-check the
    measurements before he called the order in! I requested a refund
    on the carpet that I didn't receive, but had been billed & had
    already paid for, but they didn't see why they should have to
    issue any refund. So I called my CC company & they had me send
    them proof of the order & proof that the order wasn't correct on
    arriving. To make a long story short, my CC Co. called them &
    within a few days the mill not only issued the refund, but an
    appology for the order getting miscut. So hopefully Lisa can find
    a way to not only get her $ back, but get those 2 cheaters in
    enough trouble to where they can be arrested, fined & do some jail
    time to boot! So GO GET 'EM GIRL!!!!!!!!!
