    If it's hurting him it needs to be removed.
    Easiest way is to take a pair of needlenose pliers,and pull
    out in one swift motion,holding the bird carefully and firmly.
    Don't wiggle it,that will make it bleed more.
    Have flour/cornstarch or blood-stop powder on hand in case
    the skin bleeds alot.
