Post: something interesting

Posted by jill on 8/18/05

i have a community avairy with 5 pairs of budgies. i have
read everything i can get my hands on as well as looking
up as much as possible on the web but i had never heard of
anything like this happening before. one pair raised a
clutch of eggs. the others were flirting with the idea but
had not yet layed any eggs. the new brood joined all of
the others over a week or so and i saw it.... the other
females in the cage were feeding the babies. not just the
mother and the father. has anyone else ever heard of this
    before?
