Post: i p-laced a strand of millet in the back of her box

Posted by jill on 11/03/05

the back of this particular box is hinged so that's how
    i've been checking on her....anyway, i slipped a clusted
of millet down into the back of the box but not touching
the floor of the box. she started eating on it right away.
how do i tell if the baby is getting anything to eat? i
have never hand fed a baby before and really don't even
know where to start or how to start. i don't want to kill
the poor baby. i don't think any more of the eggs are
going to hatch. should i take the not fertile one's out?
this way she won't be so bad about not wanting to leave
    the box? thanks, jill
