oh no I have never wet shavings.
to me the syringe has more control than a spoon. I control
the syringe. With the spoon birds are expected to lap it
up? I don't think so.
parent birds can attack babys just born to try to get rid of
them so the age doesn't matter. Me pulling at 10 days old
is my own guideline to help prevent problems of this nature.
remember to put paper plate or other shallow dish of healthy
foods on cage floor for babys to start with. It would not
be easy to handfeed at their age which is another reason I
pull them sooner.
