    i know breeders that switch them out with other mates when
    they want certain traits or whatever...doesn't mean i think
    it's smart. i do feel they bond for life. it is stressful on
    them to be separtated. just pull them away from each other
    and see what happens....they will squawk and flutter and be
    very upset right away. might even go in to endless
    screeching....never left mine apart for that long, just
    thought it was cruel.
