Re: Question on Cockatiels
Posted by LindaC in OK on 6/15/07

I think you answered your own question.

Quarantine time in seperate spaces is usually 30 to 45 days
so I hope all is well there.

they must have seperate cages until the new little girl is 2
years old. That is so she/they are mature enough to care
for eggs and babys plus she is busy building calcium to her
system and it would be depleted if allowed to breed any
    sooner causing health issues.

In the meantime keeping them on a healthy diet with plenty
of fresh veggies along with seed mix, cooked foods, sprouted
seeds and treats will ensure one day they will have healthy
    babys.

I wouldn't let them out of cages at the same time so she
    isn't stressed with this.

    happy thoughts,

    LindaC
