    I've always felt my house birds just stayed in the house and
    this is confirmation of that. they see daylight out the
    windows and have good full spectrum lighting inside

    I'm with Al on this one... there isn't a way to shoot a
    snake in a bird cage. best to take it out with a shovel
    handle or something.

    Black snakes/rat snakes got several of my bantam chickens
    years ago. they smother them first then eat them. My late
    hubby finally caught the 2 pair of snakes, took them out of
    the building with a hoe handle and that was the end of
    them.
