    Parrots can have beans must they must be thoroughly cooked
    first. Never give raw or partially cooked beans to birds.
    I'd suggest boiling them, maybe through in some brown rice,
    etc. to make a good meal of it. Do not give them refried
    beans, especially if they come from a can. You have to watch
    the sodium on all foods for birds. It's best and most
    healthy to just buy some dry "soup" beans, cook them just as
    you would for yourself but minus any salt.
