Forgot to comment on the broken feather. Don't worry about it.
It will eventually drop out or he will pull it out himself if
it's bothering him. It will be replaced as he molts and grows
more. So long as a broken feather is not a blood feather, the
bird will take care of it themselves. That's another thing that
it would be good for you to research because a broken blood
feather can be life threatening if not handled immediately. You
need to know all about it ahead of time, have what you need on
hand and what to do.
