    Conures usually need 10 to 12 hours a sleep. My conure
    likes to have a nap during the day and then about 10 hours
    through the night with her cage covered. The lighting
    should be fine, but make sure there is shade so they can
    escape the lighting. They also would probably perfer to be
    socialized a lot to, unless your in the basement a lot :o)
