That was a nice way to put it Tammy. Its hard to just tell someone to
go to a vet sometimes, we mean well but the problem is some (not all)
vets do so many extra things that arent needed just make $$$$$ off of
people who really care about their animals.
We have a so called bird vet here in our town who is so bad for that
plus she isnt even qualified to do birds but thats who other vets
refer bird people to. She is one to put bird owners down and make them
feel stupid or at least try to and she has no birds herself.
If at all possible most bird people here travel to a qualified vet a
few towns away or wait for Dr. Scott McDonald to come 3 or 4 times a
year to our town if at all possible but if the birds are showing any
signs its not at all good to wait.
Good luck to the bird and its hurt foot
    Debbie
