I have a 20 year old U2 and 2 Green Cheek Conures, along with 2 B&G Macaws and a CAG. The U2 has his moments, although he is rather quite for a Too, but when the Green Cheeks get on a roll, they can be quite noisey for a GOOD length of time. And talk about the high pitch.....phew! I love them all the same, but all birds are individuals and if you can't stand their vocals, I agree with COnnie, a book store would be a better place for peace and quiet. Remember, having birds is like having 2 year olds for the rest of your life. Enjoy, and good luck!
