Post: The crops that we sow... Chicky question

I was peering in on the nest, watching the mother finch
feed her chicks. I was wondering, is it normal to have an
over-buldging crop? It sticks out on all five from the
sides of the neck, I can see right through the skin and I
can make out the type of seeds she is feeding her chicks.

The crops are so buldgy, they look like they could pop.
