I was going through my aviary, pulling out all the water
dishes- and then came to my finch cage. I put the
replacement feeder cups in the cages with the hooks on the
    back.

I reached in to get the cup, and a baby finch flew out of
the nest. This is the first time I have seen any of the
babies outside of the nest. He landed on the bottom of the
cage. I didn't want to spook him, so I stayed still. He
flew up and landed on my hand. I though he would take off
once I reached for the cup, but he -stayed-.

Here is the best part: I pulled my hand out of the cage
with the cup, and the finch didn't move. I poured out the
water, cleaned the cup out, and filled it, and he didn't
move. He was peeping at me...

I put the cup back in, and tried to put the finch back, he
wouldn't budge. As I write this, there is a two week old
finch baby on my shoulder who thinks he's a parrot.

I just put him back, and he is sitting on the water cup
peeping at me. I am just confused at what to think about
this. I didn't know that finches can be tamed as such... It
looks like he wants to come back out.
