The Serins will not breed with Zebras at all. The closest
relative/species that they will inbreed with is the Canary. The
offspring are know as mules and they are intentionally bred
    together for their song.
The song of a Serin is shorter and not as rambling or sustained
as that of a canary. Zebras, and I bred those, twitter and
screetch, but would not compare to the melody of a song bird.
Zebras are not prone to breeding with Stars, but they have bred
with Bengalese, Owls and Heck's grass finches (Sharttails) that I
    am aware.
