Post: Determining gender of a finch

I know a lady who does no long want to care for her finch,
so I agreed to take it from her and care for it
myself...now Im wanting to get a mate for it...but Im not
too sure how to determine it's sex..as I know two males may
not get along, any tips?...thanks
