Post: breeding lady gouldian

hi i just purchased two gouldian finches about a week ago
and wanted to breed it. is it a good idea or should i wait
til next year? the female doesnt seem to really acknowlegde
the male. i offered them a nesting box but they just seem
to throw out the nesting material also they dont seem to
eat the hard boiled eggs that i offer them.
somebody please give me some suggestion
