Post: male zebra tail finches dying

I have had finches in my classroom since the beginning of
the school year. I started with 2 pairs and they both
produced healthy babies later. Over Christmas vacation,
one of my males died. Then over spring break, the same
thing happened. Just yesterday, another male died. I am
now down to 2 males and 5 females. They are in a good
sized cage, have plenty of water and food, and nesting
boxes. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Karen
