Re: male canary quit singing

    Hi Lyn:
    Molting is very hard on a bird. Be sure to give him extra
    proteins (egg biscuit, hard boiling egg etc) and song food.
    But give him a bit of time to renew his strength. Music will
    also bring about song. Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, or
    the vacuum cleaner should get them in the mood. lol
    Canaries have a life span of 5 to 8 years and can live
    longer. Their song will last 3 to 5 years, but can also be
    longer.
    Although the exception to the rule. I had a trained canary
    that sang his whole life and he lived until he was 10!
