Post: baby canaries has a large lump full of food on their necks

hi i am a first time birdie momma and i am not sure why my
chicks are developing a large lump on their necks that look
like it contains food particles. i just read about needing
to supply soft food every day and how to do that and i am
wondering if i may not have provided enough and fear the
food maybe stuck....what do i do?
Please help we don't know what to do?
