Post: I think my grey has been exposed to avian pox

I think my 11 yeaer old grey has been exposed to avian
pox. I live in SW FL with the worst avian vet care I have
ever experienced.

Charlie, my grey, along with my other three birds stayed
with a friend who has a conure. Over the weekend she
called to say he had bumps around his eyes on the white
part. After a Saturday vet visit, the vet thinks he may
have avian pox.

I have been reading up on the disease and am really
concerned for my birds, her too. The vet didn't seem to
overly concerned, but from what I am reading it is pretty
much fatal.
