If you present bird has been a pet since you've owned her,
the chances of breeding it will not be successful. If you
purchase another bird who has been a breeder but was never a
pet, the chances are high that the breeder will seriously
maim the pet bird. If you DO successfully breed your female,
the chances of her ever being a pet bird again are very
small. The starting ages of greys being bred are 6 yrs and
    older.
