Post: Lovebirds a trend?

I have had birds for a long time, but just got into
the "bird world" as far as shows and breeding. Usually at
the show I go to in July there are lovebirds everywhere.
The last 2 I went to there was 6 at one show and 3 at
another. Is it that most people aviary breed them so
there's no babies this time of year, or do birds go through
trends or fads as far as popularity? It doesn't matter to
me if they're popular or not, I was just wondering so I
know whether to start looking out of state for breeding
stock or not.
