Post: NESTING

Posted by PAULETTE on 12/23/06

ABOUT A MONTH AGO MY BIRD STARTED SCRATCHING LIKE CRAZY IN
THIS HOLLOWED OUT COCONUT SHELL THAT IS HER CAGE.TO MY
SURPRISE, WHEN I CLEANED THE CAGE I FOUND AN EGG!!!I TOOK
THE SHELL OUT FOR A WHILE AND NOW THAT I HAVE PUT IT BACK
IN THE CAGE, SHE IS IN IT SCRATCHING AGAIN. MY QUESTION IS
WHETHER OR NOT I SHOULD PUT SOME KIND OF NESTING MATERIAL
IN THE CAGE OR THE SHELL. AND IF SHE SHOULD LAY ANOTHER
EGG, SHOULD I LEAVE IT IN THE NEST? THIS IS ALL NEW TO
    ME!!!
