Post: macaw with a cold

Our adopted macaw sounds like he's got a stuffy nose /
cold. His previous owner kept him in the garage, and he
stayed outside a lot. We have him in our house with the
central air conditioning unit on. The last 2 days, he's
been like panting kinda sticking his tongue out. When he
talks, he sounds kinda hoarse too. Is this something that
can really hurt him? Is there anything we can do for
him?? He's really adapted good, and is doing great other
than this.
