Post: Shipping birds to NY for Pong

Pong, I too was not able to respond directly to your
question/post.
This site tells you some of the details of shipping and
specifically sites NY and NJ as two of the states that
require birds to be banded before entering the state.
I have personally shipped birds to NY but did not encounter
any problems as I do band all of my birds with closed leg
bands when they are chicks.
If you are still in doubt, contact the Department of
Agriculture for the state of NY and they will be able to
give you more specific details.
