Update on Lost Quaker "Charlie" - Pelion, SC mid Aug 2005

Thanks to the wonderful web-sites that posted my 'Lost
Bird' ad, and the other bird lovers that also posted ads
and sent emails for me, Charlie returned home to my brother
Brian on Saturday (10/1/05)! Charlie was missing for over
6 weeks and this would not have happened if it were not for
the web postings and a beautiful caring woman (Linda) from
Lexington, SC that spotted my ad and made sure the bird was
returned to the proper owner. I was told that Charlie was
originally found in West Columbia, SC - approximately 20
miles from where he escaped, when he landed on a woman's
shoulder. The kind lady called her local pet store for
advice and they referred her to Linda, who breeds Quakers.
After Charlie was chased out of her Quaker's cage, she went
online to find a mate for her Quaker and saw the ad for
lost Charlie. She did not rush to call, she wanted to make
sure that Charlie went to the proper owner and waited for
him to speak his name before contacting my brother. Brian
had to identify Charlie to the woman by stating the one
thing that Charlie did that would leave no question in her
mind that the bird was going to the proper owner - that is
that Charlie barks, yes like a dog. Charlie has been
reunited with my brother and has his wings clipped! Thank
you all again!! And remember, never give up hope for the
return of your bird! Special thanks to Linda!
