Summer, so glad to hear Ceira is improving. It looks like
this is just going to take some time. If she is not perching
well and and spending time on the bottom of her cage, you may
want to purchase a dri-dek rubber matting for her cage bottom.
Breeders use them in brooders and I keep one in the bottom of
my bird's cages because they are more comfortable on the feet
than the cage grate and are easy to take out and clean. You
may find a store near you that carries them, or you can order
on line. They come in 12" x 12" squares and can be linked
together and cut to accomdate your cage size.
