Well i feed my birds oyster shells, and i have budgies, i usually sprinkle it on their food, also no its not really like grit, grit is dirt,stones, smacked up, i also fee dmy birds chicken egg shells, that is mixed with eggs i feed everyday, do this alot. Also on the oyster shell's package that if you bought from the petstore like i did, it was an 8 IN 1 thing, well it says its for all caged birds, and it also says that bones are thin and can easily fracture and this oyster shells have provides the most calcium.
