Post: Can you tame a 4 yr old quaker??

We took in a 4 yr old quaker, Sex unkown at this point,
the previous owner has an amazon and just left the quaker
in a small change. The quaker is quick to bite than to try
and get away. The ultimate question is the bird going to
be a lost cause for taming; what can we do to help turn
his behavior around without causing us serious injury?
PLEASE HELP???????????
