Post: how to tell when birds will lay eggs

hello
first thanks for the help
i have a pair of quakers and wondering what to look for when
she is about to lay her cluch of eggs
quakers about 1.5 years old

had them for a year
she has started to act strange tearing up paper and stuff
but not doing it in cage just on couch where we sit
any and all help would be appreciated
