On a more serious note
I purchased a rejected breeder OWA
(8 years old when I purchased him)
He is a beak shaker who accidentally kills the female.
It took about 6 months of love and patience
(also pine nuts) to gain his trust but it can be done.
I have had him for about 6 years now.
He is a loved member of our family
But can never be trusted with another bird.
I also have a TAG that was given up for screaming & biting.
-He was 10 when I purchased him from a refuge with over 50 birds
He had bad habits that were redirected in a matter of weeks.
He is now my shoulder bird.
Both of our guys are in Macaw size cages with lots of toys.
They get fresh food 2x a day and good pellets when they want them
They are out for 1 hr in the morning and about 6 hr each night.
In the living room with the family.
DO NOT BELEAVE THAT A BREADER CAN NOT MAKE A GREAT PET!
It takes time, love and tenderness.
So if you want to save a bird
drive down to FL and purchase one or two.
I will not buy a baby bird when there are so many in refuges.
I also volunteered 1 - 2x a week at a refuge for 1-½ years to learn.
I go to charity events and try help people understand and keep their
birds happy. Get involved with parrot 911
DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE!
It does not cost anything but time and an open mind.
PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.
I DID AND HAVE LEARNED MUCH!
You will get further in life with hard work than harsh words
Learn before you judge.
