BIRDS/ITEMS LOST: Congo African Grey

Lost: Leon Springs/San Antonio, Texas on 5/11/08

Boe-boes flew out of the house Friday, May 9th, late in the
afternoon when one of the dogs opened the front door. He
was gone for about 10 minutes before we realized he was
missing. We live on acreage with lots of oak trees &
immediately began to search. We even took flashlights to
look in the trees for him, knowing that he'd be petrified.
When the weather is nice, he stays outside in his cage, so
he mimics all of the bird sounds from the neighborhood, and
is quite comfortable outside while in his cage. I have no
idea how he'd be outside of his cage.
He is not afraid of dogs as we have 4; he can bark like
each one of them & usually does when he hears a car driving
    down the driveway.
When he hears someone dialing a phone (cell or otherwise)
he immediately says "hello" starts a brief conversation of
nonsense words, then says "good-bye" and makes the "hang
    up" sound of the phone.
He can burp & fart with the best of them, says "Hi Boe-b",
yells, "Mommy" & whinnies like horses.
He is usually VERY vocal in the morning, and when there is
a large group of people around. He usually joins in on
    crowd laughter--he loves to laugh!
He is terribly missed by all of us (including the dogs!) as
he has been a part of our family for the past 8 years. We
got him b/c he has the same name as our youngest son's
    nickname.
He sat in a cage at a pet store for 18 months--we decided
if he was still in the pet store after that Christmas, we
would bite the bullet & purchase him; he's been an integral
part of our family ever since!
PLEASE, PLEASE, if anyone sees him or hears him, PLEASE
    call: Anna (210) 334-5929
