BIRDS/ITEMS LOST: Indian Ringneck Parakeet

Lost: Lakeland (Kathleen), Florida on 9/29/08

George is an Indian Ringneck Parakeet. He stands about 7
in. tall, and is about 16 in. long including his tail
which is over half his length. He is mostly green over his
entire body, light green underneath, and a lighter green
ring around his neck. He has a bright red beak, and has a
tiny orange circle around each of his eyes. He has a small
black line running from the top edges of his beak to the
edges of his eyes. He has a shiny blue colored streak
running down the middle of his tail, and on the tip of his
tail and wings. The underside of his tail and wings is
yellow. He has a closed band on his right foot that says
FL going sideways. He screeches a lot, but doesn't speak.
He has a fear of the color red. If you are wearing a red
shirt or pants or even have red finger nails please do not
attempt to approach him. He will not come to you, and will
be frightened off. He may be lured by peanuts. He flew out
the door Monday, September 29th. from Dove Cross Loop off
of Dove Meadow Trail, and 1st St. in the Kathleen area. He
is very VERY loved and missed. If anyone has seen him, has
him, or maybe even thinks they hear him please, PLEASE
call. You will be greatly rewarded for any help in his
