    LM is right, as I have conures also. Also, most conures like
    it not only shallow but also not so big around. They want it
    so they are feeling close and cozy, as it makes them feel more
    secure. They want a place just big enough for them to sit in
    and turn side to side. I have a playstand that has 2 metal
    bowls just alittle bigger than they are. They can get in and
    roll to the left and right and they love it. It's not very
    wide and they feel secure. Lots of luck and love... Connie
